This is a genuine manufacturer-approved component which is specially made for use with Presto pressure cookers. The sealing ring is used to create a seal between the pressure cooker lid and the pressure cooker pot. In an event, if the pressure regulator fails, and to much pressure builds up in the pot, the overpressure plug will pop out releasing the excess pressure. Keep in mind this high-quality pack includes one durable rubber sealing ring and one rubber air vent plug.
