This is a genuine manufacturer-approved component which is specially made for use with Presto pressure cookers. The sealing ring is used to create a seal between the pressure cooker lid and the pressure cooker pot. In an event, if the pressure regulator fails, and to much pressure builds up in the pot, the overpressure plug will pop out releasing the excess pressure. replacement rubber ring for the lid of a Presto presser cooker.
you sent a part that didn't work. the original part was not available, and the part for the replacement didn't work. I'm going to get another pressure cooker and it won't be a Presto brand. The lady did try to help me, and sent me one with the same measurements, but it didn't work. she tried to help me and was very nice. I don't blame her, but Presto is no longer a choice.

Remove the old ring out of the lid, then I clean the bits and pieces that were left behind. I then pushed the ring into the slot on the lid, and popped of the overpressure plug and pressed the new one right back in. It was nice working with the customer service lady. Helpful staff. Parts were correct as required. Thanks
