Product Description

?

This is a genuine Manufacturer Approved replacement part. This part is made out of Rubber and it includes the Lid Sealing Ring and an Air Vent Plug. The sealing ring is used to create a seal between the Pressure cooker lid and the pressure cooker pot. In the event if the pressure regulator fails, and to much pressure builds up in the pot, the Air Vent Plug will pop out of the lid releasing the excess pressure in the pot.

Old seal was loose, so easy to remove from cooker lid. Just press in the new seal and it is done. The overpressure plug needs to be pried up and out. I did that with a screwdriver. Cleaned the plug hole and pressed the new plug back in. Very easy and quick to do.

Note: This is a general pressure cooker, not a rice cooker .

Set the new ring in around the lip of the lid. had to cut the old pressure \"vent buttons\" out with a knife because the rubber was hardened. Insert the new which was flexible by pushing in with thumb. This was on a 1960 and a 1980 Presto pressure cooker. Parts came quickly were accurate. Thank you.
