This is a genuine manufacturer sourced replacement starter assembly. It is designed for use with handheld lawn and garden equipment. This is the starter assembly that allows user to start the unit by pulling grip/rope. It includes a plastic shroud/housing, starter pulley, starter spring, grip and the the pull rope. Please note the hardware used to attach this assembly and the starter pawl assembly. To complete this repair you will need a screwdriver. • First remove four (4) screws that secure the assembly • Remove old assembly • Secure the new one and test the unit

1. I had already removed the old recoil starter assembly and removed the pulley and found the spring was broken.
2. Then I ordered and received the replacement recoil starter assembly.
3. When the replacement recoil starter assembly arrived I simply placed it in position and replaced the screws..
4. About 3 or 4 pulls on the starter rope and my trimmer was good to go.

Placed short length of small width rope into cylinder to enable removal of Rt. hand thread nut that held starter pawl onto crank shaft.
