This is a genuine item that is sourced directly from the original equipment manufacturer for Echo lawn and garden equipment. The ring helps to create a tight seal between the piston and the cylinder walls. A worn or broken piston ring will allow combustion gasses to escape the seal and enter the crankcase causing low compression and the loss of power. If compression is reduced significantly, the engine will not be able to run at all. Please note this high-quality component is made of durable metal and is sold individually.
