This is an authentic Echo replacement part that has been sourced from the original manufacturer to be used with power pruners. The driveshaft is used to connect the clutch drum and the pinion gear to allow the part assemblies to rotate in unison. This item is sold as an individual replacement part.
Loosen the hand grip , slide toward power head to give some slack in the throttle cable
loosen the power head , slide the pole out of the power head, remove broken portion of driveshaft out.
Loosen the pruner head, remove from the pole, remove the other broken end of the driveshaft.
Insert new driveshaft from the powe

align with power head driveshaft socket and pruner head socket
tighten all parts
