This is a set of two high speed steel blades that are specially designed for Makita planers. It is an an authentic item that is sourced directly from original equipment manufacturer. Planer knives are machined to make very precise cuts, over time they will wear away and get dull no longer being able to deliver the level of precision you require. To replace these blades you will need a wrench.

Removed the four bolt retainer. Lifted out old blades and guide. Placed new blades and guide with magnets and bolted down new ones. Very easy. The magnets to hold the blade in place were provided with planer by Makita. Easy peasy job.
