This armature assembly is the spinning part inside the planer motor. It helps turn electrical power into the motion needed to drive the cutterhead. It fits select 13-inch planers marked Type 12 and does not fit Type 1 tools. Use the complete planer model and type number to guarantee the proper fit. Unplug the planer and wait for all moving parts to stop before repair. Check the brushes, bearings, fan, and field for damage before installing the new armature.
