Planer failed to start soon after some heavy use

1. First I checked Motor resistance, main switch resistance and cover safety Micro switch resistance - all OK
2. Tried to run it again and it ran fine.
3. After a few more turn on\'s it failed to start again.
4. Checked all the resistances again and the Micro Switch was open.
5. Replaced the Micro Switch and the u nit has been running fine.
6. I opened up the bad switch and found a burn mark on the main contact which caused the intermittent turn on.

microswitch purpose is to prevent running planer with the top open. used voltmeter to check continuity through switch Easy fix

2. Remove the front

Traced wiring and power. Lost power at micro switch. Tested micro switch found it to be faulty. Replaced micro switch.....all good, planer wo4ks great.
