This is an authentic DeWalt replacement part that has been OEM sourced to ensure high-quality. The plastic vacuum adapter is intended to be used with planers. This item attaches to the sawdust discharge chute and is used to connect a vacuum or dust collection hose. The vacuum adapter is priced as a single item.
1. Remove the screws retaining the tabs from the broken hood
2. Lubricate the threads with WD40 Dry Lube
3. Install the new hood and connect the vacuum hose to the adapter
4. Test to confirm the planer is no longer throwing chips everywhere :-)
