replacing screws loss while rotating knives

Removed knife plates, cleaned all surfaces, lightly using emory cloth to remove some small amounts of rust. Replaced knives and plates that secure the knives.

Ensure knife base is flat, this will allow tension springs to set in their slots and not fall forward. After aligning the knives set the knife plates over the knives with a slight pressure to depress the springs, insert a screw through the spring on each end and turn them slightly into the base. Replace the additional screws. Tighten the screws from the center out

USE CAUTION WHEN HANDLING KNIVES, THE ARE VERY SHARP.

Had to grind a slot in head, then used a chisel to loosen the screw..Then replaced all the torx screws.
