This is an authentic OEM part which is designed for Ridgid power tools. It is a standard hardware which helps to secure the hook. This is an identical replacement for a damaged or a faulty part that was installed on a new unit. Check the appropriate diagrams for your model for the exact location and the correct application of this retaining ring. You will need pliers to take apart the housing and snap-ring pliers to remove the old part and secure the new one. Five durable retaining rings are included.
