This is an authentic OEM part. The Ridge Tool Company plunger assembly is composed of metal components. This assembly is designed to help secure the handle. The plunger assembly is sold individually. It is also included in the yoke and shaft assembly (39742). A pair of pliers may be necessary for the repair.
