This part is used in the fluid section assembly to hold the inlet cage ball in place in the inlet cage. This item is sold individually.

Hello Ed, Thank you for your inquiry. If your paint sprayer is not priming, then it is usually an issue with the inlet cage ball not seating properly or being stuck. We would recommend checking the inlet valve housing for any debris that could be causing the inlet valve to stick-you may need to disassemble it as even the tiniest chip of paint can cause it to stick, and checking the seat and Teflon o-ring to make sure they are in place and showing no visible damage.
