Broken Battery Prong Replacement
Even without any instructions for replacing the new part on my Ryobi sander, it was fairly easy to figure out. Opened up the sander, saw the old part, unsoldered one connection, replaced the old part with the new one, made a new soldered connection and closed the sander. Plugged in the battery and turned on the switch. Bingo, it worked!

Exactly what I was looking for
My go to website to find missing or broken parts. They don’t always have what I’m looking for but when they do, it’s an exact match!

This was actually a repair performed on a multi-tool. The failure was the contact plate fingers broken. Instead of buying the Multitool Contact plate and speed control/switch assembly for ~ $35 I discerned that since the batteries are the same, the contact plates would be the same for different tools. I found the contact plate and switch

for a sander for ~$5. Took a chance and ordered it and it nearly fit. Took a little plastic grinding and soldering to get it in there, but it works and saved me some cash. It would be nice if Roybi sold that separately as it is common failure item for the multitool and soldering is required anyway.
