This pad assembly (PSA), commonly referred to as a sanding disc, is an original manufacturer part used in orbital sanders. It has four attachment points and a diameter of 5 inches. It features a Velcro backing on one side which allows it to securely hold the sandpaper in place during operation for efficient smoothing of surfaces. If the pad breaks, becomes dislodged, or is unable to hold the sandpaper, you will notice inefficient and uneven sanding. Remove the faulty pad assembly by removing the retaining screws. If the screws are damaged, worn out, or the threads are stripped, it is recommended to replace them at the same time for optimal performance. Clean the area and align the new pad with the mounting holes. Install the retaining screws to hold it in place. Each pad assembly is sold individually.
