This is an OEM authorized replacement part designed for use with Milwaukee power tools. This part is used to keep the brush tight against the armature. Over time when the brushes wear down and heat is created, the spring may lose its tension and it will have to be replaced. This item is made out of metal and it is sold individually.

1. Disassembled the grinder and removed broken parts.
2. Assembled new brushes in the holders with the new springs.
3. Installed brush and holder assembly in the grinder properly.
4. Installed handle cover and secured with screws making sure the rubber bumpers were on the brush holders properly.
5. Plugged in grind er and did test run. all was normal.

2. Removed the old brushes.
3. Reassembled and tested.

Remove the motor cover
Disconnect the brushes from the holders and remove the worn springs
Install the brushes in the holders and connect them
Install the brush spring so it pushing on the back of the brushes
Replace the motor cover
