1. Removed the bottom cover plate by sliding the spring loaded switch sideways and sliding the bottom cover off in the direction indicated on the cover
2. Lifted off the old shear blade and laid aside
3. Placed new shear blade onto the blade-holding \"studs\"
4. Replaced the cover
Slid the cover back and removed the shears\' trimmer blade. Put the new trimmer blades in place. Slid the cover back over the blades. Very simple. No tools were required.
1. Pushed the release under the handle, slid off the tool bottom.
2. Lifted out old blade, put in the new one.
3. Easier if you first align the blade slot with the rotor cam.
Press a release button on the bottom of the shears and a cover slides off. Remove the old blade assembly. Lay in the new assembly. Slide the cover back in until it snaps. All done! In under a minute or two.
