Air leak through the discharge of the finish nailer.

1. I had never disassembled a nailer before. I looked up my specific finish nailer on erplacementparts.com and referenced a schematic drawing of the equipment.
2. Removed the end cap with Allen wrenches supplied in the original tool case and partially disassembled the nailer.
3. Performed the visual inspection of all the seals and the retainers. Identified two seals and one retainer that was made of a material that was different than the existing o-rings material. The failed seals and retainer were cracked and very brittle. The problem was obvious.
4. Identified parts per the drawing and ordered replacements as identified by part number.
5. Reassembled and the nailer is working like new. :)
Note: As I mentioned I had never worked on a nailer before. After completion of the repair, if I have to repair in the future I would say the Difficulty would be Easy and I could probably perform the repair in less than 30 minutes.

Finishpro 35 blowing air from the trigger when the trigger is depressed

It\'s easy, just keep the parts you remove in order.
Use brake kleen to clean the gun and parts before reassembly.
Senco makes an assembly grease, buy it. Dope up the o-rings liberally when putting the gun back together. There\'s enough assembly grease in that tube to rebuild 100 nail guns.
Don\'t bother buying only th e trigger valve. I bought the trigger valve first, and it did not fix the problem. The Senco rebuild kit does come with a new trigger valve.
The Senco rebuild kit does not come with the white plastic \"retainer\" which is the part listed here. My o-rings were actually in great shape, as was my trigger valve. The two white plastic (likely nylon) retainers were badly deteriorated, thus causing the problem. One of the retainers comes with the rebuild kit. This retainer does not come with the rebuild kit (weird, right?). the whole process took 1.5 hours, but I was taking my time. If I had to do another, I could accomplish it in 30 - 45 minutes.
I put 3 drops of air tool oil in my gun before use. When I\'m finished using my gun, I put 3 more drops of oil in it, and shoot one nail. When I disassembled my 20 year old gun, the inside of the gun was pretty clean and had a thin coating of oil on all interior surfaces.
