Air leak through the discharge of the finish nailer.
Leslie from BAYTOWN, Texas
2. Removed the end cap with Allen wrenches supplied in the original tool case and partially disassembled the nailer.
3. Performed the visual inspection of all the seals ... Read more and the retainers. Identified two seals and one retainer that was made of a material that was different than the existing o-rings material. The failed seals and retainer were cracked and very brittle. The problem was obvious.
4. Identified parts per the drawing and ordered replacements as identified by part number.
5. Reassembled and the nailer is working like new. :)
Note: As I mentioned I had never worked on a nailer before. After completion of the repair, if I have to repair in the future I would say the Difficulty would be Easy and I could probably perform the repair in less than 30 minutes.
