This is an original Ryobi replacement part manufactured for use with cordless nailers or staplers. The plastic knob covers the back of the housing assembly above the cylinder. The knob is used to set the driving power of the gun, the knob is sold individually.

Easy repair tough getting part but third time was a charm
Difficult journey first time cancelled for discrepancy but no one called to tell me second time sent back but who knows whom because I never saw the part. Third time charged expedited service charged way to much and took double the time for delivery slower than ground service but cost almost double so my three to five day delivery took almost a month to get a $3 part but it does work great and tool back in business.
