The spring fits between the seal and the o-ring. This authentic item is supplied directly from the original equipment manufacturer for use with nailers and staplers made by Porter Cable. This part is sold individually and is made of metal. A wrench and a set of pliers might be helpful during the installation of this part. It will need to be replaced if it breaks or bends.
