This is genuine OEM sourced replacement part designed for use with a Porter Cable nailer. Nose cap is attached to end of the safety element to prevent the material that it is being used on from getting marred or dented by the pushing lever. This part is made from high quality plastic and it is sold individually. These pads do have a tendency to get lock or crack overtime eventually requiring replacement, most users tend to keep a few extra on hand.
