The valve sheet goes between the head valve and the cylinder separator. It is a genuine item that is supplied by the original equipment manufacturer for use with Makita nailers. This part is available individually and is made of plastic. During replacement, it may require an allen wrench to help install this part correctly. It will require replacing if it becomes broken.

Removed the screws from the top cap and removed the cap. Removed all of the broken pieces of the old valve. Cleaned and oiled the inside. Installed the new valve. Then attached the the top cap. Works like new.
