This is a genuine OEM sourced part is designed for use with Hitachi nailers and staplers. The ratchet spring applies tension on the adjuster. Over time it may wear out, get damaged or lost eventually requiring a replacement. When operating the adjuster, be sure to remove your finger from the trigger and disconnect the air hose from the tool. Check the owner's manual and the appropriate diagrams of your model for the correct application of this hardware. One durable metal ratchet spring is included. You may need pliers to secure and remove it.
