This is a genuine manufacturer sourced replacement part used on Hitachi nailers. The purpose of this piston bumper is to keep the piston from hitting the bottom of the cylinder and damaging it. Because this part get so much abuse it has a tendency to crack and fall apart eventually requiring replacement. This item is made from durable plastic and it is sold individually.
