This replacement no mar pad is a genuine OEM sourced item, not an aftermarket equivalent. It is a high quality product designed for Dewalt nailers. Nose cap is attached to end of the safety element to prevent the material that it is being used on from getting marred or dented by the pushing lever. Please note, this plastic part is sold individually. Most people tend to keep a few extra on hand as they do tend to crack or get lost. To replace this pad simply slide it on the safety elements tip.
