This is a genuine OEM sourced replacement part that is intended to be used with pneumatic nailers from DeWalt and Porter Cable. The metal spring is used to provide torsion on the trigger valve to keep the trigger in the extended position. This item is sold as an individual replacement part.
Ordered trigger assembly and spring and removed the old trigger assembly by driving out the pins that held it in place replaced it with new trigger assembly and spring and reistalled the pins nailer works fine
