?This is an authentic manufacturer sourced replacement piston stop. It is specially designed for use with Bostitch nailers. This part acts as a cushion when the piston retracts back into the cylinder after being fired. Because this part get so much abuse it has a tendency to crack and fall apart. Please note, this plastic part is sold individually. To complete this repair you will need a screwdriver set.

Nail gun leaking air

2) Separated gasket attached to cap.
3) Pulled out cover and spring from head cap, then removed damaged piston stop.
4) Cleaned out inside of head cap with soft cloth.
5) Installed new piston stop, spring and cover.
6) Placed new cap gasket on main bod ... Read more y of nail gun.
7) Gently pushed head cap on to main body of nail gun, paying close attention to alignment of both.
8) Placed (4) fasteners with a drop of lock adhesive on each and tightened firmly.
The nailer was leaking air and would not drive a nail.
