unscrew the one and only screw to remove striker Place new stricker in and replaced the screwback in

The driver for by Bostich stapler broke

Removed the fastener that holds the driver and the flat spring in place; removed flat spring and the broken driver; installed the new parts, reinstalled the fastener. Put staples in the stapler for a test - success!
I probably did not need to replace the flat spring. The old one was partly rusty, but other than that it looked to be in somewhat good condition. However, after so many years of use, I felt it was a good idea to replace the spring.
