This is a genuine OEM part. The trip assembly is made for use with several brad nailer tools, and is sold individually. This metal component is fitted between the lower contact arm guide and the non-marking contact foot in the nose cover. The trip assembly acts as a depth guide and safety mechanism. A hex key and screwdriver are helpful with the installation process.
