This is an authentic replacement part manufactured for use with Bostitch pneumatic staplers. The urethane o-ring is used to form a seal between the piston and the wall of the cylinder. The seal this o-ring creates is critical to ensure the piston and driver are fired. Without this seal, the nailer would not be able to function. The o-ring is sold as an individual replacement part.
