This is a Genuine Manufacturer Sourced replacement part used on certain Bostitch Stapler/Nailer. This item is made out of Resin and it is sold individually. The purpose of this Piston Bumper is to keep the piston from hitting the bottom of the cylinder and damaging it. Because this part get so much abuse it has a tendency to crack and fall apart. If you see and parts of this bumper falling from your nail gun, it is definitely time to replace it.

Took the stapler apart, removed old bumper, opened the o-ring kit and laid all the contents on a clean towel. I would remove one o-ring and replace it with a new one. I then installed the new bumper. I oiled the o-rings and put the stapler back together.
