The purpose of this bumper is to keep the piston from hitting the bottom of the cylinder and damaging it. Because this part gets so much abuse it has a tendency to crack and fall apart eventually requiring a replacement. Please make sure to check the diagrams of your model for the exact location and application of this component. Keep in mind this high-quality bumper is made of durable rubber and is sold individually.
