This is a manufacturer sourced replacement part designed for use with Bostitch nailer. This is an end cap to which the hose are connected. This tool uses a 1/4" N.P.T. male plug. This cap is made out of metal and it is sold individually.

Broken end cap

Remove the retaining ring from the end of the cap, then all the existing parts from the broken end cap. Remove the screw the broken end cap, then thread the old cap off of the housing. Install the new end cap with the screw, then assemble the rest of the parts to the new end cap.

Cracked air inlet housing

The end of the inlet housing was cracked so I had to replace it. I simply removed the old one and replaced with the new part and everything fit perfectly.

End cap broken

Remove the retaining ring from the end of the cap. Then proceed to remove all the remaining parts from the end of the cap. Remember the order they were in. Remove the small screw in the end cap. Thread off the old end cap, then thread on the new one. Replace all the other parts in reverse order.

Removed screws and unscrewed the end cap. Screwed on new end cap and replaced the Allen head screws.

End cap broke at the male iron pipe thread connection due to a fall off a ladder

1. Remove 3 hex screws attaching the nail track to the gun and remove track.
(screws located at part #48 and at the circled letter B)
2. Remove 1 screw from the end cap bracket and remove bracket.(part #26)
3. Remove snap ring(Part #61) Pay careful attention to the order of the parts attached with this ring and pay extra attention to the orientation of the seat plate for the hook(part #57)
4. remove end cap from gun(although i was able to do it without you may need Adjustable pliers )
5. put o-ring on new end cap and screw into the gun use extra care if you cross thread this part your gun becomes an expensive paper weight.
6. replace all the parts in reverse order. also use care and dont over tighten the screw holding the end cap bracket.

optional: apply a little loctite to all screws but DO NOT use it or any kind of thread sealant on the end cap threads going into the handle.

estimated time = 30 minutes the first time and 10-15 the second.
tools required:
Hex Key set
snap ring pliers
medium sized adjustable pliers.
