The rough side is called hook. Its softer mate is called loop. The hooks engage into the loop and provide the closure mechanism. This part is made out of metal with plastic and it is sold individually. Please note screws used to attach it to the sander are sold separately. Changing the pad is easy and will only require a hex key/allen wrench. • First remove the screws that secure the pad • Remove old pad and replace it with the new one • Secure it using the screws
