Product Description

?

This manufacturer-sourced replacement kit is designed for use with Dremel power tools and includes two (2) carbon brushes and two (2) brush holders, each equipped with metal springs and lead wires. Carbon brushes are essential components that conduct electrical current between stationary wires and the rotating motor. As wear items, they gradually degrade through use and friction, and will eventually require replacement to maintain tool performance. To complete this repair, you’ll need a hex key or Allen wrench. Begin by removing the screws that hold the tool’s housing together. Carefully separate the two halves of the housing to access the armature and brush holders. Remove the brush covers and take out the old brushes along with their springs. Install the new brush assemblies, reassemble the housing, and test your tool to ensure proper operation.

Repair to the multi-tool was quite simple. I took out the screws that hold the body together, pulled out the motor took the screws out of the brushes.
To replace I put the motor back in the housing then replaced the brushes, put the cover back on and tested. Ran like new. I am very pleased with Dremel products, I have several of yo ur products that are over 35 years old and they are still working like new.
Dremel makes a very good product for the money. Thanks for the customer support I recieved in the repair. Doug S.

I got the tool home thinking it was just missing the power cord and found that someone also took the brushes and was missing a screw so i purchased the missing parts and installed them.
I removed the 3 screws from the body of the tool. opened it and inserted the brushes and plugged in the wires. secured them in with the Torx Oval-H ead Screw 3 x 8. then installed the power cord and replaced the tool cover and tighten down the 3 cover screws.
the tool works great and i paid under $25.00 for the tool and parts! what a find.
Thanks
Mark H

Removed case screws, unclipped a few wires on the governor, slipped new governor in. Removed brush screws, replaced brushes.

Turns out these parts did not fix it. One of the wires on the field was wearing, eventually breaking completely causing it to quit.
