It is a genuine manufacturer-approved replacement platen that is specially designed for use with Dewalt oscillating multi-tools. It is the backing pad for the sandpaper, over time due to normal use it may begin to wear out eventually requiring replacement to maintain peak performance. This platen is made of durable black plastic and it is sold individually, please note the hardware to secure it is sold separately.
