This is a filter for a single shot of espresso (1-Cup). This single shot filter is sold individually and is manufacturer-approved. To insert the filter, press it down into the porta-filter, making sure to line up the notch on the filter with the groove inside the porta-filter. Turn the filter to the left or right and this will secure the filter into the porta-filter. The filter is then filled with ground coffee and compressed evenly and firmly into the filter. The porta-filter then gets attached to the brewing head. When cleaning your filter, make sure it has completely cooled, remove it from the porta-filter, and wash in warm soapy water, being sure to rinse it well. Never place the filter in the dishwasher as this can damage it.
