This replacement carbon brush is an authentic OEM approved item designed for use with Jancy slugger portable drills. Carbon brushes play and important role in power tools and electric motors. They are in constant direct contact with an armature and they help to transfer electric current. Over time brushes will wear our and would require replacement. It is advised to periodically check your brushes and replace both of them at the same time to ensure top performance. Includes one (1) carbon brush with a lead wire and a spring attached. Please note brush holder and cap are both sold separately. Replacing this carbon brush is a quick and easy job. You will need a flat head screwdriver to complete this repair. • Make sure the tool is unplugged • Remove brush cap using a screwdriver • Swap old brush with a new one • Secure brush cap and test the unit
