Afterward, I decided to take a chance on the Hamilton Beach dough hooks (990010500) because they looked similar in size and appeared to have connectors identical to the version originally created for my hand mixer (I compared digital images). While I was at it, I purchased an extra whisk, just in case. Once the hooks and whisk arrived, I immediately tried out the hooks (I knew the whisk would be compatible); Yes, they were compatible, and they mix great. So, if you find yourself looking for some hooks that are compatible with the Hamilton Beach 62650A model, then dough hooks (990010500). There were no other repairs necessary for my hand mixer.
Whisk was lost years ago. My daughter-in-law couldn\'t throw away her 18 year old hand mixer, which was gift she bought for herself when she started baking and had no luck finding replacement appliance pieces. Finding it made her day... Thank you eReplacements!!!
