1. Removed mixer housing (one screw and pry snap tabs open)
2. Removed hold down for gearset.
3. Removed and replaced gearset.
4. Reassembled mixer.
The hardest part was to figure out how the housing snapped together (see the video). My first reassembly didn\'t work because mixers interfered with each other.
... Read more After thinking about it I located timing marks on the gears, aligned them, reassembled and tested. Runs perfectly now.
Went on YouTube to check if it\'d been done before: it had. Watched and picked up a couple of tips.
Took hit apart, photographed it at each stage (a habit I use), lubed with silicone the gears and shafts and replaced, popped back to gather and Bob\'s your uncle! Just like a bought one!

Gears were stripped; 25-year old mixer would squeal and not turn properly
Followed instructions on YouTube; audio in Russian language, but video easy to follow. Take your time. Be patient. Watch video several times. Mixer works like new.
1. Disassemble the mixer.
2. Remove the motor and the gear set.
3. Disassemble the gear set.
4. Replace all the plastic gears.
5. Reassemble the mixer.

Drive gear was stripped.and I decided to replace all the gears while I had the mixer opened.

2. The most difficult part of this repair was finding out how to open up the mixer without breaking it.
