The old bracket broke in two places. One piece remained attached to the saw with a phillips head screw and washer. The middle piece went flying somewhere. The third piece was still attached to the laser light, still operational, held in place with a hex drive screw. Use #2 phillips screwdriver to remove old bracket from miter saw frame. S
... Read moreave removed phillips head screw and washer. Use 9/64\" allen wrench to remove laser light from broken bracket. Retain the 9/64\" hex drive screw. The hole that holds the screw used to secure the laser light in the bracket is not threaded. Use a #8 x 32 thread tap to thread the hole. Install laser light into new bracket using retained hex drive screw and 9/64\" allen wrench.
Install laser light bracket assembly onto miter saw frame using a #2 phillips screwdriver and previously removed phillips screw and washer. Align light per miter saw operating manual.
Works fine. I was fortunate that the laser light itself was still operational with no damage.
