The guard was damaged by a piece of oak kanked into it by the blade. After reassembly, the guard no longer worked.

Removed the old mounting plate and new part fit perfectly. Metal arm attaches to the saw via a threaded bolt which I lost. Found a similar thread size but was too long. A little dremel saw off and grinder on the bolt -fit perfect.
