Guard broke when a piece of molding I was cutting got loose and hit the guard

Removed 2 screws that hold the guard retaining bracket in place
Removed screw that holds the long metal piece that moves the rear translucent guard
Disassembled the hex bolt and screw on the old guard that holds the guard to the retaining bracket
Removed spring from the old guard
Transfer above parts to new guard a nd assemble in reverse order
Make sure saw is unplugged when doing any of the above as it is impossible to make this repair without getting your fingers close to the blade

1. Unpluged the saw
2, removed the sawblade
3. Made note of how the old ones were assembled
4. removed broken parts
5. replaced with new
6 put the blade back on.

Rear blade guard had been damaged while cutting a piece of hardwood that exploded. Only injury was to the guard.

Removed all of the blade guards and 10\"- 80T sawblade. All that wasn\'t really nessasary, I do that to check for more or hidden damage, matainance and cleaning. Other than three broken teeth on the blade and the broken off guard, everythiing else was in fine shape. The rear guard is the last thing to come off and most often, the first th ing to go on. Reinstalled all the new and existing parts, made a few final adjustments and double checked the torque on the blade bolt. Tested and complete in less than 30 minutes.
