This is an authentic replacement part manufactured for use with Hitachi miter saws. The armature is one of the two main parts of the electric motor and the armature has a pinion gear that drives the spindle assembly. Direct replacement part, came exactly as pictured
After about 8 years of use, our original armature assembly came apart at the blades, perhaps a manufacturing defect? A chunk of it with 3 blades is what came apart. Ordering this through eReplacement parts was a quicker shipping and cheaper then others.
