This is an authentic Hitachi replacement part that is sourced from the original manufacturer for use with compound miter saws. The metal plate is used to link the "A" and "B" fences and to allow the "B" fence to pivot to make the fence taller or shorter. This item is available as an individual replacement part, please note a screwdriver is required to install this part.
