This is an original DeWalt replacement part manufactured for use with compound miter saws. The lower fence connects to the base assembly, and holds the adjustable fence halves. The lower fence is sold individually.
Removed the 4 screws with the blade replacement wrench that came with the saw removed the broken fence cleaned surfaces set new in place thread lock on threads and tightened works great

I had a piece of hickory hardwood flooring bind and slam into my lower fence. It bent the irrigation side around an 1/8 inch
I used an impact to loosen the four screws holding the fence on the saw. After removing the fence I used a screw driver with a t-40 torx bit to tighten the screws without over tightening and stripping the threads due them being in aluminum
Removed the bent fence from the saw
Installed the new fence on the saw
Aligned the fence to the blade
