Badly cracked handle

Remove the the carrying handle from the top of the handle and cover. remove the screws attaching the handle and cover from the saw. Remove the two screws that hold the cord clamp. Then remove the switch. Attach the bottom half to the saw. replace the switch and the cord then the cord clamp. replace the screws in the top half, then attach the carrying handle.

My repair went well, but I had to trim a plastic tab near the clamp for the cord to get the two clam shells to fit together over the cord clamp. Be aware of this because if you tighten the screws without doing this you will likely crack the plastic on your new part. Otherwise everything fit perfectly and saw is back to normal! I am glad I made this purchase!

1) Disassembled handle clearing any accumulated sawdust and discounting wiring connections from cord to housing.
2) Mounted/ installed lower half of handle.
3) Routed wiring thru pathways of handle.
4) Installed upper half of handle using original hardware.
5) Tested operation of switch and started back to work.
