This is an original manufacturer sourced replacement part designed for use with Dewalt compound miter saws. It allows you to lift and lower the saw. This item is made out of plastic and it is sold individually. Includes both sides of the handle. Please note the screws used to attach it and the carrying handle are sold separately. You would need a screwdriver for this repair • First you would remove the screws from carrying handle and remove it • Then, remove the screws in the top handle half and remove it • Remove the switch from the bottom half of the handle • Remove the cord clamp that is held in by two (2) screws. • Remove the bottom handle half from the saw by removing the screws holding it to housing • Attach the new handle following the previous steps in reverse

To install the new handle. First remove the screws from carrying handle and remove the handle. Then remove the screws in the top handle half and remove it. Remove the switch from the bottom half of the handle and also remove the cord clamp that is held in by two screws. Then remove the bottom handle half from the saw by removing the screw s holding it to housing. Reverse the tear down assembly and your done.

Remove the screws from the carrying handle
Remove the screw from the top switch handle
Remove the bottom switch handle and switch and cord clamp
Install the new bottom switch handle half, with the cord and switch and cord clamp
Install the top switch handle half
Install the new carrying handle

1. Removed carrying handle and top handle
2. Took photo of electrical wire and location
3. Removed bottom handle
4. Reverse assembly using new parts

My miter saw fell and broke the handles

First remove the screws from the carrying handle and set the screws aside. Remove the screws from the top handle, then remove the cord clamp and the switch. Remove the bottom handle from the housing and replace it with the new one, replace switch and cord clamp, then, install the top handle. Then install the carrying handle. Very easy to repair with a screwdriver everything fit perfectly

The handle crumbled in my hands when carrying

1- took picture of wiring diagram with phone
2- removed all old screws and mapped them out to what spots they went to. Make sure you make note of where they come from. There are 7 different screws to do this. Used a #15 star bit.
3- disconnect wires from trigger assembly and remove wire clamp
4- remove bottom piece of ha ndle assembly
5- route all wires from the saw through the base of new handle
6-place power cord at back and reconnect the trigger assembly and route all wires according to the picture or wire diagram
7- screw it all back together using the map you made of where the screws go-note: screw handle to saw first before screwing the handle together
